I know I"m a baseball geek, but I still like "Pride of the Yankees". Good stuff.
On the other hand, I also watched "Last Tango in Paris" this weekend--or tried to. They say it's a classic, but good Lord is it frightfully dull. Vague existential chat about meaning of life, crass sex scene, another crass sex scene, more interminable dialogue, Brando gets upset, etc. etc. Took me two days to get 90 minutes into it and I just couldn't take anymore after that. Ick.
In rockin' news, the next
Feature has been collected in rough form and should be up in the next week or so. So who, you ask, is the follow-up to the one and only
Larry Blamire? Why the lovely, charming and talented Kari Byron: Mythbuster, artist and pea-hater extraordinaire. It'll all make sense, trust me.

Life is good.

A few lil' rants.
I know that there's a sizable portion of this site devoted to
movies, but I don't mention much beyond my most painful experiences on here. Once again it seems as if the Oscars prompt me to say a little something. First off, Scorcese has been screwed long enough. I haven't even seen "The Aviator" but if you can't give him an Oscar for "Raging Bull" "Goodfellas" "Taxi Driver" or even "Gangs of New York" then when can you? Now I have mad love for the Clint, but "Million Dollar Baby" wasn't even as good as "Mystic River." Clint is the man, but Martin has been ignored for too long. Just ain't right.
Speaking of not right, when you tell your hairstylist (or as I call them, butchers of hair) to "not touch the top" I for one would be infintely appreciative if that advice was heeded. While they might know hair, I am infinitely more qualified on the topic of
my hair. And now for lack of listening (again) I'm king of the spikey hair for another 2-3 weeks. They're addicts. They can't help themselves. They hear "none off the top" but when it comes time to "blend" "tease" and "touch up" it all goes down the crapper.
Anyway, I have things that still must be done tonight but I'll leave you with a bit of
amusement--it's the abuse buddy you've always wanted, but never could afford...
